C2E2 2015 Photos

Last weekend was FANTASTIC and beat all expectations! Thanks to everyone who made C2E2 really great and also for our sister, Megan, for flying into town to help out for the weekend. We're always blown away by all the support and enjoy seeing familiar faces as well as meeting many new people. Here are just a few photos from the weekend. Calabash Animation Reel 2015

We have been fortunate to work with Calabash Animation as independent contractors for over 9 1/2 years now. It has been interesting switching from doing all hand drawn animation on paper to all digital using Toon Boom Harmony. Please take a look at Calabash's newest animation reel. It's pretty fun!

Elsa and Anna

Here's my first Disney princess fan art since the 90s! This was long overdue. ;)

Elsa and Anna Sketch

I FINALLY gave in and did a piece of fan art for Frozen. Better late than never! ;) Here's the sketch, and I will be posting the final color illustration tonight or tomorrow.

It's my first Disney princess drawing since high school! This brings back memories of filling sketchbook after sketchbook of Disney characters through grade school and high school. :)

sketch of young woman

Trying to get back into sketching for FUN! We're usually either working intense animation jobs or working on commissions. It's hard to get back into it and find inspiration. Today I got a haircut and my stylist was telling me how to do my hair like this. Very mundane, but that's what came out. lol

Children's Fox Drawings

Catherine and I were recently commissioned to take children's drawings and adapt them into color illustrations based off the Song of the Sea style. Their mother said they loved the movie so much that it inspired them to draw these, and then she reached out to us to make them into final illustrations.

This was a really fun commission, and we are open to doing more like it!
